Ketamine Infusion Therapy
KETAMINE INFUSION THERAPY (KIT):
On day of infusion, you must fast for a specified time prior and have an identified responsible adult to take you home or lodging. An intravenous (IV) catheter will be started by an Anesthesia Provider and Ketamine therapy will be initiated in a safe and calm environment. An Expert Anesthesia Provider will be present with you at all times while receiving a specific anesthetic dose tailored to your needs.
Ketamine Dose: The Ketamine dose will be customized by an Anesthesia Provider to ensure safe delivery of Ketamine (an Anesthetic). Dosage considerations will follow an Anesthesia algorithm to include but not limited to weight and health conditions.
Each Ketamine Infusion Therapy payment includes one session for a duration of approximately 2 hours. This includes Ketamine administration (estimated 40 minute) and Anesthesia monitoring for safe discharge to home or lodging (estimated 1 1/2 hours).
After the procedure is complete, you will be monitored for recovery. Once meeting Anesthesia Discharge criteria, the Anesthesia Provider will remove the IV and you can go home in the care of a responsible adult. Since you will be receiving Ketamine, an Anesthetic, you are not to operate heavy machinery or make major life decisions for 24 hours. In addition to Expert Anesthesia Provider decision-making, world assessment tools will be used to assess your improvement in symptoms at very critical time periods for appropriate planning and quality improvement purposes.
